Compensation
Overview
The Directorate of Compensation is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing new and revised compensation programmes, policies, and procedures aimed at harmonising the public sector pay system while upholding the principles of equity and merit.
The Directorate also leads on labour relations matters, including collective bargaining, salary administration, and policy implementation, ensuring that compensation practices are fair, transparent, and sustainable.
Through its work, the Directorate plays a central role in promoting industrial harmony, strengthening trust between government and employees, and advancing the overall objectives of the WCC Act.
